Bryan Sterling is the founder and sole PT at Coastal Orthopedic Advantage. He is originally from Pittsburgh, PA (yes, he is an avid Steelers fan) and he moved to Ft Lauderdale with his wife in 2013. He earned his doctorate degree in physical therapy from Nova Southeastern University. While in PT school, Bryan fell in love with orthopedics and his passion opened many doors to several unique opportunities like working with professional athletes and helping soon-to-be NFL stars prepare for the NFL combine. Additionally, Bryan had the opportunity to work with one of his orthopedic mentors and was published and presented at a national conference on regenerative medicine, such as stem cells and platelet rich plasma.
After earning his doctorate, Bryan decided he wanted to accelerate his career and clinical skills, so he applied for and was accepted into a rigorous one-year orthopedic residency program through Nova Southeastern University’s Clearwater Campus, which is what brought him to the Pinellas County area. The residency provided him with the opportunity to be personally mentored by several faculty members, who are all expert practitioners in the orthopedic realm of PT. He also gained invaluable teaching, research, and presentation opportunities while in the residency. Bryan then utilized the knowledge he acquired in his residency and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Bryan is highly trained in a variety of manual therapy skills and he is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Dr. Sterling is incredibly passionate about utilizing his knowledge and skills to help his patients recover from their injuries as fast as possible, so they can get back to doing what they love. After several years of clinical practice, Bryan was unsatisfied with the level of care patients were receiving at traditional outpatient clinics, which motivated him to start Coastal Orthopedic Advantage. He aims to give people the treatment they want and deserve at an accessible price. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Bryan for any type of injury, surgery, or chronic ache or pain that you have been living with for too long. Even if you have had bad experiences with PT in the past, you will likely find his treatments and approaches will be different. Bryan looks forward to meeting and working with you!
